Greetings from NCD!
We hope you and your family are staying safe and well. After virtually completing our Spring 2020 semester, we are happy to share that, beginning June 1, we will be offering in person individual and small group (2-3 students) lessons in our studios. Lessons in Pilates/Conditioning or Creative Dance will be available June 1, and June 15 for Ballet/Pointe and Contemporary. We will continue through July! Details:
-Duration: lessons will be 45 minutes each, with a 15 minute break between. Individual lessons are $45/lesson and small groups are $25/lesson. If cost is prohibitive for your family but you'd like to take advantage of these classes, please get in touch.
-Scheduling: lessons will be scheduled on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons on a first come, first serve basis. Small group classes will be arranged by students' ages, experience and genre(s) of choice. Students are able to take up to 3 individual/small group lessons per week.
-Payment: Tuition will be charged to the card on file via our online registration system. If you are new to NCD's registration system or need to change your card information, please indicate that when you register.
-Registration: is open now. Click here to sign up. Once we've received your form, Gwen will be in touch to schedule your lesson(s) and provide more information about NEW pick up/drop off and class procedures. The health and safety of our dancers and their families is our top priority.
*Please note that if you are opting for a small-group class, it may take us longer to respond as there are more schedules to coordinate. Thank you for your patience.
-Virtual participation: If your dancer is interested in participating in small group classes but does not feel comfortable returning to the studio, a livestream option may be available. If you are interested in virtual participation, please fill out the registration form above and we will get in touch!
We are actively working on safely bringing back our group classes, following state and industry guidelines. Thank you for your patience as we prioritize the well-being of our students, faculty and staff. More information coming soon!

STUDIO UPDATE AS OF 3/11/2020
In light of Governor DeWine's mandated school closings beginning Monday, we at NCD have made the difficult decision to suspend programming beginning today, March 11, through May out of an abundance of caution. We will share more updates soon regarding what this means for the remainder of our Spring 2020 semester.

Welcome to Neos Center for Dance
Neos Center for Dance is a place for EVERYONE. Located in the heart of Downtown Oberlin, Lorain County’s creative center, Neos Center for Dance (NCD) offers affordable movement classes of the highest quality to students of all ages. With the holistic development of the dancer (Body, Mind, and Spirit) as the end goal, NCD provides a safe environment for students to unlock and develop their creative and technical capacities.
The Neos Center for Dance faculty is comprised of artists who possess a wealth of knowledge and experience from many disciplines. In addition to delivering high caliber dance instruction, many of our teachers currently perform with either Neos Dance Theatre or other dance organizations in the Northern Ohio region. Unified by a love for dance and a passion to deliver challenging and empowering instruction, our instructors bring out the best in every mover in a safe, structured environment.
We believe that a comprehensive dance education enriches lives and is necessary for the development of well rounded human beings. Studies have shown that increased participation in dance education not only boosts self-esteem, confidence, and energy, but also has the ability to reduce stress, the risk of dementia, as well as the risk of heart disease. Regular participation in arts programs has proven to also increase a student’s chances of excelling academically, thus increasing their likelihood to enroll in post-secondary education. Neos Center for Dance subscribes to the African adage, believing fully that “it takes a village to raise a child.” We expect to gracefully contribute to that end, making sure the child in all of us is fully manifested through the transformative power of dance.
Where will you plug in? Please take a moment to review our scheduled class offerings. If you’re not quite sure of whether or not a class is intended for you, feel free to explore our Online Registration for more information.
